Make Fresh Mozzarella Cheese at Home in 30 Minutes

Homemade pizza is a little different from Mozzarella cheese you have ever eaten. You can make cheese better by dairy milk But if you do not have access to the dairy raw milk then any full-fat milk will be fine. Milk should be not fully pasteurized because it is impossible to make good curd chunks with Ultra-pasteurized milk. Let’s start with the required ingredients and tools.

Ingredients

  • 4 liter of Whole full-fat milk that is not boiled
  • 1 cup of Vinegar
  • Hot water
  • Ice cold water
  • Sieve or a soft cloth

Preparation

  • How to make mozzarella cheese, so let’s do that all you need is Whole milk and vinegar.
  • You have to heat the milk on the medium flame, stir continuously to give the milk an even temperature until it reaches to the 120 degrees Fahrenheit(F) or 47 to 48 degrees Celsius(C). Or you can check with your finger until your finger can not tolerate how hot it is.
  • That is the point when you have to add the vinegar. Any good quality white vinegar would work well. Pour all the vinegar at once in the milk and stir continuously. Give it a stir or two, and then cover it with the lid for 2 to 3 mins. After that, you will see lots of forming curds.
  • Now gather all the curds and use a sieve or soft cloth to collect the curds from the whey (leftover part of the milk).
  • After that squeeze all the water from the cheese and clean it with some water.
  • Now heated again the cheese in hot water that should not be boiled but should be really hot, approx 80 degrees Celsius. If you want the cheese little salty then you can add 1 tbsp of salt into the hot water during boiling the cheese.
  • When the water is hot, rest the cheese curds in the whey and keep squeezing out the water (Repeat the process 2 to 3 times).
  • And starts stretching the cheese, do it many times like 5 to 6 times. But do not overwork it, otherwise, the cheese will become tough and would not melt.
  • The next step is to give a round shape.
  • Now put your cheese into the ice-cold water for 2 to 3 mins. Now it is ready to go.
  • Wrap it in a cling sheet or in an airtight box, you can store it in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 weeks.
  • Now our tasty cheese is ready.
